While the priests of our Diocese are attending the Convocation in Knoxville, a deacon will offer a Communion Service at 12pm on Mon., June 3; at 7am & 12pm on Tues., June 4; Wed., June 5; and Thurs., June 6, in place of Mass. We will not be able to offer the 11:30am confessions June 3 through June 6. The Masses and confessions on Friday, June 7 will be offered as usual.

In Remembrance of all your dad did for you, Catholic Charities' Pregnancy Help Center asks for your support. Pick up a bottle after Mass the weekend of June 8 & 9 to fill and we will put your change to good use helping to change the lives of the moms and dads in our program. You can place your bottle in the wooden receptacle. All bottles will be picked up after Father's Day weekend. 

There will be four free concerts offered as part of the Pipe Organ Encounter Week here in Chattanooga. The concerts will feature the teaching faculty from across the country who have gathered in Chattanooga as part of the Pipe Organ Encounter. You are welcome to attend these performances on some of the most beautiful instruments in the city in some equally grand and beautiful spaces. Bring a friend or two and come along for some great and inspiring music featuring the King of Instruments! NOTE: The Basilica is pleased to participate in Pipe Organ Encounters Week by hosting the teaching faculty and adult students for organ lessons on our historic pipe organ.

The weekend of June 22-23, we have a single priest offering all our Masses and sacraments Saturday and Sunday morning, and so our confession times will be limited to 5pm-5:25pm Saturday, and 11am-11:20pm Sunday. There will be no confessions before the 9am or 1:30 Masses, and no confessions during any of the Masses). Note that the regular confession opportunities during the week at the Basilica other parishes in Chattanooga are listed on the Confessions page of our website and on our Basilica confessionals. We thank you for your understanding and patience. Whenever we are short on our priestly offerings, it is an opportunity to pray for more men to answer the call to the priesthood.

The Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul is Sat., June 29, 2024, and it is also the 134th anniversary of the dedication of this church building. We are pleased to be able to celebrate our patron feast day at all our Masses on June 29 & June 30. We will also celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at the 9:00 English and 1:30 Spanish Masses on June 30. There is an opportunity for a plenary indulgence for visiting the Basilica on the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul.

The parish office will be closed on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day. We will still offer Masses and confessions at the usual times.

Due to priest travel, we will have a Communion Service at 7am Wed, Thurs, & Fri, July 10, 11, & 12. All our other Masses and confessions this week will be offered as usual.

St. Vincent de Paul Society is a lay Catholic ministry that promotes the spiritual growth of its members through service to the poor. Currently, the most needed items for the food pantry are: Parmalat shelf stable milk, cereal, canned chicken, peas, and carrots.
