May Crowning on Mother's Day

Our annual May Crowning will be on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, between the morning Masses at 10:30am, with a procession, prayers, and music to honor the Blessed Mother. Please bring flowers for the procession. All mothers will receive a special Mother's Day blessing at Masses on May 10 & 11.

Yearly Renewal of Consecration to Mary

Those who have made a consecration to Mary using 33 Days to Morning Glory, True Devotion to Mary, or another Marian Consecration preparation will have the opportunity to make their yearly renewal on Friday, May 16 after the 12pm Mass. We will assemble near the Mary statue after Mass. The consecration prayer we will recite will be distributed before we begin. Please contact the parish office with any questions.

Brown Scapular Enrollment

On Sunday, May 18, at 10:30 am, the rite for the Blessing and Enrollment in the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be offered in the Basilica. This opportunity is offered near the May 16 feast of St. Simon Stock, who is credited with receiving the scapular from Our Blessed Mother. Participants will need a Brown Scapular and should prepare by reading about the devotion and the Order of Carmel prior to enrolling. Click for more info

Baby Bottle Drive for Catholic Charities Pregnancy Help Center

Catholic Charities’ Pregnancy Center changes lives – maybe the one sitting next to you. Pick up a bottle after Mass the weekend of May 24-25 to fill and we will use it to help change the lives of the moms and dads in our program. Return the bottle with your donation in the wooden receptacle in the vestibule by June 1.

The Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul is Sunday, June 29, 2025, and it is also the 135th anniversary of the dedication of our church building. We are pleased to be able to celebrate our patron feast day at all our Masses June 28 & 29. Bishop Beckman is also coming to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at the 9:00 English and 1:30 Spanish Masses on June 29. There is an opportunity for a plenary indulgence for visiting the Basilica on the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul.
