Basilica Blanket Club Members Only Meeting

This meeting will be a craft swap/free sale event for club members only. Most of our meetings are open to non-members, and those who would like to learn or participate but aren't yet members, but this one is just for us.

Please bring ANY craft items (yarn, fabric, paper crafts, stationary supplies, glitter, paints, patterns, whatever you have) that you would like to de-stash from your cabinets- it doesn't have to just be blanket making materials!  They will go onto a free table, and you can bring what you'd like, and take what you'd like in return. Please make sure if it's an item that is already opened or used, that it's still in good usable condition (open bottles of acrylic paint, for example are fine, but they need to be usable.  Used yarn is fine, as long as there's enough there for someone to do something with still. If you have fabric scraps, please have them in a Ziploc-type baggie- neat and tidy for someone to grab). You can bring whatever you'd like, and you can take whatever you'd like. Please make sure that whatever is left on the table belonging to you, goes back home with you. (Example- If you brought a tub of stickers, and they aren't taken, please take them back home with you at the end of the meeting). You will need to bring some bags to put your goodies in. We may have a few extra bags, but not enough for everyone as a main source. 

If you are a member, PLEASE RSVP TO THIS EVENT- and make sure if you say you're coming- you do that.  This type of even really needs full participation, and the more the merrier! Let's all have fun and de-stash our craft areas and help each other out with supplies and items maybe we can't use, but someone else can- especially with the holidays around the corner this is a great opportunity for us all! Maybe you'll get supplies for a new hobby you've been wanting to try? Maybe you'll find just the right item for a craft project you've been meaning to finish? Come find out! 

Upcoming Donations:  There will be a donation table per usual, for this quarter's finished blankets. 

We donated 22 blankets to the CCETN's Mobile Ultrasound Unit.
Program Leader Sheri Fava and Olivia Turner (Blanket Club Leader) are pictured together here below as Sheri accepted the donations into the organization. We attached prayer cards to each blanket, before donation as well. You all did an amazing job, and so many precious little ones will be welcomed into the world with warm joy and love because of your hard work! You can learn more about this mission HERE!

We have other donations as well (shawls, and few hats). Once we have enough of those items, we will be reaching out to another organization to get those to a place where they can help as well. If you would also like to make hats, gloves, "plarn" (plastic yarn) mats for the homeless etc, please let us know, so we can facilitate those donations making it to where they will do the most good for our communities.
