IT’S GOD CAMP TIME!We’re gearing up for summer, and things will look a little different this year in a really good way. We’ll be hosting one camp for the entire diocese, open to incoming 6th–8th graders, June 3-6 at Adventure Ocoee in Ocoee, TN.REGISTRATION & GROUPS All youth must register through their Parish Youth Minister or Parish Representative. This parish-based approach is new for God Camp, and it’s something we’re really excited about. Our hope is that this helps us better serve our parishes and youth by creating space for groups to attend together, build stronger connections, and return home ready to stay engaged. We want this to be more than just a great week. We want it to strengthen parish youth ministry and give young people an opportunity to continue living out their faith in their own communities. Parents are welcome to serve as chaperones to help make that possible. Each parish or group will need to provide chaperones following our standard ratio of 1 adult per 10 youth of each gender. *The Basilica needs some chaperone volunteers for this event, please respond if you are able!* COST & DEADLINES Take advantage of the Early Bird rate and save $300 if registered and paid by April 13 $350 after April 13 $400 after May 1 REGISTRATION CLOSES MAY 17 OR ONCE CAMP IS FULL! $200 for adults WHAT TO EXPECT God Camp is an incredible opportunity for middle schoolers to grow in their faith, build friendships, and connect with other youth from across the diocese. The week is packed with opportunities for both fun and faith. From lake day inflatables and time at the water park with a wave pool, lazy river, and slides, to outdoor activities and team competitions, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Evenings will bring the community together through bonfires and skits, while small groups, prayer services, and Mass create space for deeper connection and encounter. We can’t wait to welcome your middle schoolers for what is always one of the best weeks of the summer. |
