TOMO POSTULANTADO EL DIA 15 DE AGOSTO DE 1993, RECIBIO SU HABITO COMO NOVICIA EN LA CONGREGACION EL 25 DE JULIO DE 1995, REALIZO SU PROFESION RELIGIOSA RECITANDO SUS VOTOS DE POBREZA CASTIDAD Y OBEDIENCIA EL DIA 24 DE JUNIO DE 1997, EL DIA 13 DE DICIEMBRE DE 2003 SE CONSAGRA DEFINITIVAMENTE A TRAVES DE SUS VOTOS PERPETUOS PUBLICOS. SU MISION EXTENDER EL REINO DE DIOS, AUMENTANDO LA FE EN EL SAGRADO CORAZON DE JESUS, LLEVAR LA BUENA NUEVA A QUIEN AUN NO CONOCE A DIOS Y MIRAR SU ROSTRO EN LOS MAS NECESITADOS.

 
ESTUDIOS DENTRO DE LA CONGREGACION
 
DESDE SU INGRESO AL CONVENTO EN 1993 Y HASTA EL AÑO 1997 LA HERMANA EMA SE PREPARO TOMADO LA ESPIRITUALIDAD DE LA CONGREGACION Y FORMANDOSE PARA CONVERTIRSE EN RELIGIOSA MISIONERA AL MISMO TIEMPO QUE SE PREPARABA INTELECTUAL Y ESPIRITUALMENTE, UNA VEZ QUE HIZO SUS VOTOS TEMPORALES FUE ENVIADA A SU PRIMERA MISION EN EL ESTADO DE DURANGO ESTANDO AL SERVICIO DEL SEÑOR OBISPO ANTONIO LOPEZ AVIÑA Y DESPUES AYUDANDO EN LA CASA DE RETIROS (CASA DE LA CRISTIANDAD HASTA EL AÑO 2000.  EN EL AÑO DEL 2000-2004 ESTUDIO Y SE GRADUO COMO LICENCIADA EN EDUCACION PRIMARIA EN ‘’EL INSTITUTO NORMAL QUEVEDO ‘’(PUEBLA), EN EL AÑO 2009-2013 ESTUDIO UNA MAESTRIA EN LA UNIVERSIDAD QUEVEDO, OBTENIENDO EL TITULO DE ‘’DIRECTOR DE INSTITUCIONES CON CALIDAD HUMANA’’. EN EL AÑO 2021-2025 ESTUDIO EN LA UNIVERSIDAD ST MARY’S DE MINNESOTA OBTENIENDO UN TITULO EN ‘’ESTUDIOS INTEGRADOS’’
 
SERVICIO MISIONERO
 
LA HERMANA MA EMA HA SERVIDO A LA CONGREGACION EN LOS COLEGIOS DE TLAXCALA, PUEBLA Y MICHOACAN COMO MAESTRA Y DIRECTORA EN DISTINTOS TIEMPOS, EN MEXICO HA TENIDO SERVICIOS PASTORALES CON MATRIMONIOS, JOVENES Y NIÑOS EN ALGUNAS PARROQUIAS QUE SE LE HAN ENCOMENDADO. EN ENERO DE 2012 HASTA AGOSTO DE 2014 FUE ASIGNADA A LA PARROQUIA DE 
‘’ HOLY NAME ‘’ ENLA DIOCESIS DE FORT WORTH TEXAS COMO DIRECTOR DE MINISTRERIO HISPANO. POSTERIORMENTE EN EL AÑO 2014- 2015 FUE ENVIADA A ROME GEORGIA DESEMPEÑANDO UN TRABAJO PARA SU CONGREGACION, EN OCTUBRE DE 2015- 2018 SE LE DA LA MISION DE TRABAJAR EN EL DECANATO DE 5 RIOS EN LA DIOCESIS DE KNOXVILLE. EN JUNIO DE 2018- JUNIO 2020 ES ENVIADA A COMENZAR UN NUEVO COLEGIO EN MICHOACAN MEXICO, POSTERIORMENTE EN JULIO DE 2020 A JULIO 2025 SE LE ASIGNA LA MISION DE DIRECTORA DE MINISTERIO HISPANO EN BEARDSTOWN EN LA DIOCESIS DE SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS. Y AHORA EN SU NUEVA MISION EN LA BASILICA MENOR DE SAN PEDRO Y SAN PABLO AL SERVICIO DE LA COMUNIDAD HISPANA.
 
LAS EXPERIENCIAS RECIBIDAS EN CADA MISION DONDE HA ESTADO SON UNA GRAN RIQUEZA, PARA LA HERMANA EMA EN CADA MISION LAS PERSONAS CON LAS QUE HA CONVIVIDO Y TRABAJADO LE HAN DEJADO MAS ENSEÑANZAS DE LA QUE ELLA A PODIDO DARLES. DIOS ES BUENO Y PONE A CADA QUIEN EN EL LUGAR DONDE DEBE ESTAR.

Sister Ma Ema Soto Enriquez (Sister Ema), Missionary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Ad Gentes, was born in Durango, Mexico. She is number 9 of 10 siblings. She followed the voice of God calling her to religious life at the age of 17. On July 18, 1993, she entered the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Ad Gentes. She took postulancy on August 15, 1993, received her habit as a novice in the congregation on July 25, 1995, and made her religious profession by reciting her vows of poverty, chastity and obedience on June 24, 1997. On December 13, 2003, she was definitively consecrated through her public perpetual vows. Their mission is to extend the kingdom of God, increasing faith in the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to bring the good news to those who do not yet know God, and to see His face in those most in need.
 
STUDIES WITHIN THE CONGREGATION
 
From her entry into the convent in 1993 until 1997, Sister Ema prepared herself by taking the spirituality of the congregation and forming herself to become a religious missionary intellectually and spiritually. Once she made her temporary vows, she was sent to her first mission in the state of Durango, being at the service of Bishop Antonio López Aviña, and then helping in the Retreat House (casa de retiros) of Christianity until the year 2000.  In 2000-2004 she studied and graduated as a bachelor of primary education at ''El Instituto Normal Quevedo'' (Puebla). In 2009-2013 she studied for a Master's degree at Universidad Quevedo, obtaining the title of ''Director of Institutions with Human Quality''. In the year 2021-2025 she studied at St Mary's University in Minnesota, obtaining a degree in ''Integrated Studies''.
 
MISSIONARY SERVICE
 
Sister Ma Ema has served the congregation in the schools of Tlaxcala, Puebla and Michoacán as a teacher and director at different times. In Mexico she has had pastoral service with married couples, young people and children in some parishes that have been entrusted to her. In January 2012 until August 2014 she was assigned to the parish of "Holy Name" in the Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas, as Director of Hispanic Ministry. Later in the year 2014-2015 she was sent to Rome, Georgia, doing a job for her congregation. In October 2015-2018 she was given the mission of working in the Five Rivers Deanery in the Diocese of Knoxville. From June 2018 - June 2020 she was sent to start a new school in Michoacán, Mexico. Then from July 2020 to July 2025 she was assigned the mission of Director of Hispanic Ministry in Beardstown in the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois. And now she is in her new mission in the Minor Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul at the service of the Hispanic community.
 
The experiences received in each mission where she has been are a great richness for Sister Ema. In each mission the people with whom she has lived and worked have left her more teachings than she has been able to give them. God is good and puts everyone in the place where they should be.
