For the next few weekends, confessions at the Basilica will be very limited or at times unavailable. Our priests are covering at several parishes whose priests are traveling or incapacitated. We will still offer confessions Mon-Fri at 11:30am, except Oct. 14 & Oct. 20-23, when all the priests will be at mandatory gatherings with the Bishop. Check the confession schedule for nearby parishes, posted on our website and on the confessionals. Pray for more priestly vocations! As Fr. Carter has instructed, confession is only necessary for mortal sin. Make use of the ordinary means for absolving daily faults, such as the full and active participation in the Penitential Act at Mass, praying the Our Father, and especially receiving Holy Communion.
