Iron and Altar, Priscilla Project, is a Bible Study for all Catholic women, regardless of parish, studying "Wisdom of the Mothers": the holy women who have gone before us and walk with us still on our journey to sainthood. Iron & Altar, Chattanooga's interparish Catholic men's Bible study, meets at 6:30pm Fridays at the St. Jude Library. In June 2026 we will launch a new sixteen-session study, The Hidden Canon, exploring the Minor Prophets, the Deuterocanonical books, and how Scripture itself came to us. Registration is open for our OCIA programs for Becoming Catholic, as well as Religious Education for preK through 12th grade; Youth Group for 6th through 12th grade; and Youth Schola for 2nd grade and up. VOLUNTEERS are needed in these programs in various roles. Click for more info.

The Basilica’s new Servant of God Library for adults is now open for browsing and borrowing books ranging from Theology to Fiction, at the end of the hallway by the elevators. We have over 800 books in the collection, the majority of them donated by the parishioners of Sts. Peter and Paul; it can truly be called a "community library."

Our Adult Faith Formation Book Club will begin studying Life of Christ by Fulton Sheen starting Sept. 9, with the option to attend Tuesdays from 6-8pm or Wednesdays from 9-11am in the St. Dominic Building.

Our Basilica Adult Faith Formation ministry offers the Deacon’s Table / All Things Catholic class most every Sunday from 10:15-11:15 in the McConnell Room. The class is currently viewing the 6-week video series, The Hidden King: The Jewish Roots of St. Joseph, by Dr. Brant Pitre. Our next study will be on the Sacraments.
